However, high-efficiency pumps with electronically commutated motor (ECM), such as the ALPHA SOLAR, must not be controlled by an external speed controller, which changes or varies the supply voltage.
In order to install this product, an intervention in the 230 Volt network must be made. Work on the 230 Volt mains must only be carried out by a qualified electrician (according to VDE 0100)!

The speed can be controlled via a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal provided by the solar system control to optimize the solar energy yield and the system temperature, thereby significantly reducing the power consumption of the pump.
If no PWM signal is available, the ALPHA SOLAR can be set to one of 4 constant speeds. The pump is then only switched on and off via the controller.
