- The AQA therm HES works according to the ion exchange principle and replaces the alkaline earths in the water, such as calcium and magnesium, with sodium ions. Depending on the regional water hardness, the water is either partially softened (<8°dH) or fully softened (< 1930 °dH) via the setting of the blending unit. Alternatively, a desalination cartridge can also be used. Softened water has changed chemical corrosion parameters. Conditioning using inhibitors according to ÖNORM must be provided separately
