The TECEdrainprofile 55mm shower channel is a high-quality shower profile for shower drainage. It is installed in the tile adhesive above the screed and waterproofing, creating a flush appearance in walk-in showers. Material, construction and function of the shower drain
The shower drain is made of cuttable stainless steel (material 1.4301/304) and features an internal slope to improve water drainage and self-cleaning. The stainless steel cover has a push-to-open mechanism and can be easily removed by hand. The system is rated for load class K3 (test load 300 kg) and is suitable for floor coverings from 8–25 mm thick (including adhesive bed). For flush-mounted installation, wall coverings from 10 mm thick are possible. The drain can be mounted directly on the wall, flush with the wall, or at any desired distance.
Assembly and installation
The TECEdrainprofile shower channel (55 mm diameter) can be cut to length up to 500 mm and is installed directly in the tile adhesive. Interlocking elements ensure a strong bond with the adhesive bed, while the connecting piece allows for easy connection to the TECEdrainprofile drain. Installation is flexible and accommodates different installation heights and tile thicknesses, guaranteeing a precise and stable fit.
